For Love and Lemons

Oh My. Just discovered For Love and Lemons the other day and have been returning to this image ever since. Powerful and undeniably girly at the same time, both wild and sophisticated. This is also how I’d like to describe myself on my good days.

Plus it looks like we have the same turkish towel sheets, and the girls and I share a love of Pilcrow as well as side-seam leggings.

Little by little the bird feathers its nest, and object by heart burnished object we surround ourselves with lovely necessities of memory and function. It is these things that make a silly Apartment a Home or a silly Wednesday an Occasion. Whether my nest is an old farmhouse, a sixth floor tenement walk up, or a brownstone basement... whether I share it with family, vagabonds, women of heart and mind, or a little brown cat and a sweet ginger banjo, my principal joy is filling it with light and laughter (and corralling).

  1. Another way to get a hammam towel would be for your Mama to go to The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul and hand carry one back, just for you…
